Culture - San Isidro

San Isidro hosts a great cultural activity with theaters, art galleries, and museums. Examples of these are Artco Art Gallery, PUCP Cultural Center, and other centers of interest.

In addition, in contrast to the modernism of the buildings that make up the district, you will find Huaca Huallamarca, the most important archaeological monument in San Isidro. With pyramidal form, this monument has been in the pre-Inca period the residence of the Huallas.

Another key element in the district is the Basilica of the Virgen del Pilar, a reigning and beautiful colonial altarpiece that houses a baroque altar.

Destination

San Isidro is located in the west of the Peruvian capital, Lima, and besides being the most important financial district, it presents a modern architecture that merges with the most remote tradition of Peruvian culture.
